Overview
Everyone talks about Design Thinking. But what is it actually?
Through Design Thinking, you can discover new ideas and solve problems. It is a powerful holistic process, focusing on people and their needs and experiences. It helps you develop better products and services, and more importantly a new mindset full of potentials in openness, experimentation, and curiosity. Design Thinking is iterative and flexible, emphasizing collaboration between innovators and users. Design Thinking enables you to empathize with people, identify their needs, and to systematically ideate, prototype, and test new ideas.
This course, open to all disciplines, offers an intensive hands-on opportunity to learn and try out yourself the fundamentals of Design Thinking. It addresses today’s challenges to developing products and services surrounding sustainability. Through a series of practical and cumulative exercises, you will learn and develop the essential skills behind Design Thinking and create a compelling pilot project applying its methods and techniques.
Programme structure
Course Structure:
Reading week: August 15th – 19th, 2022. Flexible, 10 hours preparatory work to be done on-demand.
Online course: August 22nd – September 2nd, 2022. Estimated session times are Mondays through Fridays from 9 am to 2 pm CET for live lectures and group sessions.
Please note that exact session times will be confirmed once registrations have closed (sessions will be scheduled according to the time zones of the registered course participants).
