Overview
This course is an introduction to German and is aimed at beginners. Within two weeks, this course will help you to develop basic competencies in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in German, as well as give you a basic knowledge of the German culture, with a particular focus on Berlin.
This course is designed to be taken together with our courses in Terms 2 or 3 to give participants maximum value from their time in Berlin.
Students will learn:
*Introducing you and others
*Expressing yourself and asking others about personal details, work, areas of study, hobbies, and interests
*Dealing with various situations in daily life (at the supermarket, in public offices, in the city, at the university)
*Basic facts about Berlin, Germany and German culture
*Introduction to German pronunciation and grammar
