Overview

Course Overview

Business Intelligence is a growing specialized area of Data Analytics. It combines a specific set of processes, tools and techniques to provide organizations the insights needed to make better business decisions.

A Business Intelligence Analyst (BI Analyst for short), specializes in understanding data processes and tools for generating insights, creating specialized dashboards that will bring data insights to every part of an organizations that needs it. This course aims to teach participants data exploration techniques and prepares for the data-driven leadership in the future


Learning Goals

Week 1 + 2
• Data Foundations – Understand the fundamental concepts of data and AI, recognize data roles and applications in business world
• Data Visualization with Tableau – Creating effective charts, graphs and dashboards to analyze data trends
• Database Design Foundations – Understand relational databases and database design principles

Week 3 + 4
SQL Basics and Project Work – Learn the fundamentals of SQL for data manipulation.
• Project Work – Apply learned concepts to a real business case to generate data-driven recommendations
